Key Achievements:
-
A catering assistant with hearing impairment lacked confidence in speaking to staff and participants. After I discussed how we could help her, all staff would tap her on the shoulder to let her know we were talking to her and we introduced staff learning a little sign language at our weekly meetings to make her feel part of the team and provide an inclusive environment. As a result, the catering assistant advised that it was the best position she had ever worked for as previous jobs she was always placed in the kitchen away from people.
-
Established robust administration processes to ensure all administration, coordinator and reception roles could be covered efficiently in the absence of staff, for example the implementation of role task manuals and staff back-up of administration roles on a monthly basis.
-
Maintained accurate facilitator records and training records resulting in 100% audit compliance for the Registered Training Organisation.
-
Introduced a document control system to easily retrieve training documents and to quickly identify the last revision and the person who made the changes.
